About Our Glass Company
After working in the glazing contracting industry since 1954, Don Collard purchased the Hareld Glass Co.
from Mr. Hareld in 1965. He not only kept the company's original name and letterhead, but he also continued the company's reputation for a high level of customer service in the industry. Don prided himself with his honesty and straightforwardness with his customers and vendors.
As an owner, he thought it important to pass down his work ethic to his family members and employees, some of whom have worked at the company for more than 30 years. His eldest son, Donald, began working with the company as a teenager. Over the years he worked through the ranks as a glass installer, a foreman, and now the president of the company after his father's death in 2007.
Donald Collard is the current president of Hareld Glass Co., and vice president of the Rhode Island Glass Dealers Association. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management.
